The Mission

Pura Vida is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering youth, families, and underserved communities through wellness, cultural celebration, and life-readiness education.

Our mission is to create safe, healing-centered spaces where individuals — especially young people transitioning out of the foster care system—can access the tools, support, and community they need to thrive. Inspired by the essence of “pure life,” we provide mentorship, mental health resources, holistic wellness programs, and real-world life skills to help youth build confident, purpose-driven futures.

Through culturally rooted experiences, educational workshops, and a strong sense of community, Pura Vida is dedicated to breaking cycles, restoring hope, and nurturing the next generation of empowered leaders.

Youth Transition Support

Pura Vida’s Youth Transition Support Program is designed for young people aging out of the foster care system. Our goal is to bridge the gap between institutional care and independent living by providing comprehensive resources and a strong, supportive community.

  • Financial literacy, cooking, employment prep, and housing navigation.

  • Access to therapy, holistic wellness sessions, and self-care routines.

  • One-on-one and group mentoring with professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.

  • Celebrating identity, resilience, and cultural pride through art, music, and storytelling.

  • Healing-centered spaces for support groups, workshops, and personal development.

    Men’s Mental Health Retreat Series (2024)

    A luxury wellness series created for Black and Brown men that offers grooming, therapy, health screenings, and personal development.

    Partners: mental health professionals, brands, and local organizations.

    Supermom Wellness Brunch (2024):

    Fundraiser to honor 10 mothers raising children with autism. Included wellness services, B12 shots, therapists, games, brunch, gift cards, and beauty support.

    Our 2025 Goal:
    $2,000+ raised to support underserved moms.

  • Financial Literacy & Career Building:

    Novae Money Affiliate Work:

    Empowering families with free LLCs, business credit, work-from-home tools, and money education.

    Credit Repair & Business Funding Services:

    Providing access to loans, credit building, and entrepreneurial startup help for underrepresented communities.

  • Influencer Collaborations & Support:

    Regularly highlight and promote small businesses, beauty brands, and wellness providers — helping them grow through Esmy’s large social media reach. Have away tools workshops paid floor training
